Our Global Objectives
Globally, Hans Lindner Foundation supports people who, due to their physical, mental or emotional condition need the help of others. The support was initially meant for economically distressed workers of companies belonging to the Lindner Group, former employees and their relatives. This has since been expanded to emergency assistance to needy populations in economically under-developed or disaster-affected countries.
The Foundation also promotes research and teaching, at Universities of Applied Sciences of Regensburg, Deggendorf, Passau and Landshut. This also includes education and training in the field of the establishment and management of companies (startups).
The Foundation promotes public health and public health care, youth and care for the elderly, art and culture, education, economics and vocational training, nature protection and landscape conservation, development cooperation and traditional customs.
In Uganda, the Foundation started its operations in 1999 through a partnership with St. Joseph’s Aid Society. In 2005, the founders decided to reach the beneficiaries directly hence forming Lindner Foundation Uganda (LFU). It is a fully registered organization with NGO Board and with the Registrar of Companies as a company limited by guarantee. It started operations in 2006 and is managed by a Board of Trustees.
